Oorja Indian Dining in London

"I happened across this place while planning to go to Dishoom while I was visiting London for the weeknd. It was the most fantastic accident of my life. It has secured its spot in my top restaurants in the world. I came back a second night in a row to make sure it wasn’t a tease. It wasn’t. The food. Fantastic. The cocktails. Fantastic. The service. Extra fantastic. The vibe. Fantastic! I plan to come back tomorrow—for a third day in a row(!)—to try their Sunday roast. Over the course of a few days I tried many things on the menu and they all impressed my “refined foodie” pallet. I am planning to fly back this summer to bring my daughter—also a lover of amazing Indian food."

"We had vegetarian food at Oorja and really enjoyed the taste. The flavours were well balanced and everything we tried was fresh and comforting. The ambience is warm and stylish, making it a nice place to sit and relax, and the service was friendly and attentive. The only downside is that the vegetarian menu is quite limited, so more options would make it even better. Overall, a pleasant dining experience."

"We had an incredible time dining at Oorja a few weeks ago. The food was delicious and some of their dishes also had a creative twist to them. Lovpreet served us food that day. She gave great recommendations and was very thoughtful in her actions. The staff also took great photos of us. We still look back at that day with a smile on our faces! "The food and service was really good. Everything we ordered had very good taste and went well with each other. Although the menu had a wide variety of non vegetarian items, the selective vegetarian that we ordered was pretty good. Definitely waiting to visit again to have the remaining items and the taster menu that we missed this time ."

Every dish was full of flavour and beautifully prepared. The service was immaculate. A special mention to our waitress, Lovely, who was incredibly attentive, warm, and highly professional throughout our visit. She made excellent recommendations and really elevated our experience. The atmosphere is vibrant and buzzy, yet still comfortable enough to enjoy good conversation with friends. And the cocktails deserve a shoutout too — expertly made, high-quality, and delicious. "Went for the "Sunday Roast", which is a special indian twist on a classic sunday roast. Lots of different options on the roast menu to try. This is excluding the normal dinner menu, which looked equally tasty - I don't think we even scratched the surface. Was fantastic. Service excellent as well."
